About Next Level

Next Level started as a goat tying clinic and has grown into coaching for all of youth rodeo. The goal is the same as it was on day one: break the sport into parts a rider can practice, and build athletes who win.

The coach

Stacey Martin

Stacey has coached goat tyers and trained horses for more than 25 years, and she coaches the Panola College women’s rodeo team.

Before that she taught high school physics and chemistry, which taught her how kids learn, and how differently each one does. That classroom is still in every clinic: each one starts with an evaluation, and every rider leaves with a plan built for them.

She built the online Coaching and Mentorship Program to keep working with clinic students all year long, and her riders have won at every level, from Little Britches to the College National Finals.

The Next Level difference

Proven results. Proven system. Beyond the clinic.

We don’t just teach you what to do. We teach you how to get better long after you leave.

With many national champions, 5-second goat tyers and a long list of state champions, we know what it takes to compete at the highest level. More importantly, we understand the process it takes to get there.

Coaching between clinicsPrivate online lessons

A clinic is a great place to learn new techniques, correct mistakes and build confidence. But what happens when you get home?

Do you know what to practice? How to practice? Do you understand why you’re making certain mistakes and, more importantly, how to correct them?

More repetitions don’t always mean improvement. Practicing something incorrectly only reinforces bad habits. Next Level athletes learn the mechanics behind what they’re doing, why mistakes happen, and how to make corrections on their own. That’s how you build muscle memory that holds up under pressure.

Our goal isn’t to make you look great for one weekend. It’s to give you the knowledge, drills, structure and resources to keep improving long after the clinic is over. Through the Next Level Coaching and Mentorship Group and private online lessons, the support doesn’t end when the clinic does.

Elite athletes aren’t developed in a weekend. There are no shortcuts to becoming elite, but there is a better way to train. That’s the Next Level difference.

The method

Three parts, one athlete

Every clinic teaches the sport in three parts: learning to compete, physical fitness, and the event itself. Riders work in small groups, with several instructors at every clinic.

Drills and slow work build muscle memory. Relays and matches add the pressure of a real run. Dismount and horse training are part of every clinic, with instructors who help with horse issues.
