Goat tying
Goat tying has become one of the most competitive events in rodeo. Over 20 years, Stacey has broken down every step of a run to remove every extra tenth of a second, and her students win at every level, from Little Britches to college rodeo.
How we train
- Drills and slow work build muscle memory.
- Relays and matches add pressure, so riders learn to perform when it counts.
- Dismount and horse training, with instructors who help with horse issues.
- Cattleac Horse Savers and Goaty dummies for groundwork when a horse isn’t needed.
Levels
- Beginner
- New to goat tying, or still building groundwork.
- Intermediate
- Consistently ties between 9 and 12 seconds.
- Advanced
- Consistently ties under 8 seconds.
